A 3 New Google Workspace Innovations for Hybrid team

By enabling teams of all sizes to connect, create, and interact on any device, from any location, Google Workspace has played a critical role in helping organizations succeed in the new normal. The integrated productivity solution, which was launched in October, continues to improve with the addition of new features and innovations that help individuals better manage their time and develop deeper connections as the workplace of the future develops. Google launched a slew of new initiatives aimed at addressing the unique issues and opportunities that the hybrid workplace presents.

  • Here are three of the most Google Workspace announcements that we are most excited about:-
    1. Collaboration and Teamwork Spaces:

A specialized location for teamwork and collaboration. Google has unveiled Spaces, a feature in Google Workspace that allows distant teams to bring projects to life by linking the relevant content, people, and conversations in new and compelling ways. Google will transform the Rooms experience in Google Chat into a dedicated space for organizing people, topics, and projects with Spaces. Spaces, which will be available this summer, will include additional features such as: Threading of topics in real time Indicators of presence Statuses that you create yourself Reactions of expression A view that can be collapsed Spaces will also interact smoothly with files and tasks, allowing teams to accomplish more together.

2. Companion Mode:

During hybrid meetings, this is a technique to keep everyone involved in the dialogue. Google Workspace was created with the goal of ensuring that everyone can contribute equally, regardless of their location, role, skill level, language choice, or device preference. While entirely remote teams have similar meeting experiences, hybrid work presents distinct issues.

Companion Mode in Google Meet is Google’s response to this dilemma. Companion Mode is a feature that allows all meeting participants, regardless of where they are in the room, to have access to interactive tools and controls such as screen sharing, polls, in-meeting chat, hand raising, Q&A, live captions, and more. With Companion Mode enabled on personal devices, even colleagues who are in the same meeting room get their own video tile in Meet, helping them to stay connected with their remote teammates. Companion Mode will be available on the web in September, and it will be coming to mobile soon. In addition, to assist meeting organizers in planning hybrid meetings, invitees will be able to RSVP with their join location, indicating whether they will be joining in a meeting room or remotely.

3. Hybrid cooperation requires new security and privacy capabilities;

New security and privacy capabilities, such as client-side encryption, are being developed to help Google Workspace clients achieve the full power of trusted, cloud-native collaboration while also fulfilling a variety of data sovereignty and compliance requirements. . There will also be new security features for Google Drive, such as:

• Trust rules for Drive, which allow you to regulate how files are shared within and outside your company.

  • Create labels for files that classify them and apply controls based on their sensitivity levels.
  • Improved anti-phishing and anti-malware defense to protect against insider attacks and human mistake.
